Job Description:

As a Security Guard at Dominion Security, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients’ premises, employees, and visitors. This position does not involve the use of firearms, but it demands a high level of professionalism, attentiveness, and a commitment to providing top-notch security services.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Access Control: Monitor and control access points, ensuring that only authorized personnel and visitors are allowed entry.
2. Patrol: Conduct regular patrols of the premises to detect and deter any suspicious activity or safety hazards.
3. Surveillance: Maintain a watchful eye on surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and other security equipment to promptly respond to any issues or breaches.
4. Incident Response: Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents promptly, taking appropriate action to ensure safety and security.
5. Visitor Assistance: Provide assistance and information to visitors, ensuring a welcoming and safe environment.
6. Report Writing: Document incidents, accidents, and irregularities, and submit detailed reports as required.
7. Customer Service: Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while interacting with clients, employees, and visitors.
8. Conflict Resolution: Handle conflicts and difficult situations calmly and professionally, seeking peaceful resolutions.
9. Emergency Procedures: Follow established emergency protocols and assist in evacuations when necessary.

• Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as all applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills for operating security equipment.
• A valid security guard license or the ability to obtain one (if required in your jurisdiction).
• Physical fitness and the ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
